TÜRK-İŞ Public Sector Collective Bargaining Update (June 2025)
The TÜRK-İŞ Public Sector Collective Bargaining Coordination Board submitted its proposal for the Public Framework Agreement Protocol for Collective Bargaining Agreements to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security on February 27, 2025. At the time of the reported development, no response had yet been received from the Ministry.
Following this situation, a meeting was held at the TÜRK-İŞ Headquarters on Monday, June 2, 2025, followed by a press statement at 11:30.
The press statement was attended by TÜRK-İŞ Deputy Chairpersons Ramazan Ağar and Eyüp Alemdar, representatives and executives of the HAK-İŞ Confederation, members of the TÜRK-İŞ Public Sector Collective Bargaining Coordination Board, presidents and executives of TÜRK-İŞ-affiliated unions, branch presidents and numerous workers.
Significance of the Development
This development was significant because it highlighted uncertainty affecting public-sector workers during collective bargaining and the expectations of trade unions in the negotiations. It also provided an example of the importance of protecting employee rights, conducting bargaining processes transparently and strengthening social dialogue within the framework of labor law.
